Now that Google Plus is starting to gain some steam in the social networking world, it is nice to see that Google has released the Google Plus app for Android phones.  The Google Plus mobile app is free to download and comes with “Huddle” for group chat.  The Google Plus mobile app for the iPhone will not come with Huddle.  Both apps work the same in most other ways and the interface is very similar.  Facebook and Twitter apps are very popular for mobile users and Google Plus will fit right in.  More users are on mobile devices and checking up on their favorite social networks is getting quite easy from a smartphone.

When a social network is decreased to the size of a smartphone screen, the space and how it is used is very important to the user.  Many online reviews say that Google+ mobile app is nice and clean and very easy to use.  There are fewer menus and less jargon on the screen to get in the way.  Many mobile apps are crammed onto a 4.3 inch screen and then they are also loaded with icons, menus or text that just distract rather than help a user.

You can get the Google+ mobile app quickly and easily.  All that you have to do is go to the Android Marketplace and find the Google+ Mobile app and drop it into your mobile device.  Google has also provided a “QR” code that you can use to get the app if you want to take the long way.  Once the app is downloaded and installed, all you have to do is sign in with your Google account and go on from there.  You will have to make sure you have access to Google+ first and if you did not get an invite, just hold on and one will come your way soon enough.

Some of the features in the mobile app include updates from your contacts, or “stream”, your profile information, photos you have uploaded or others have uploaded of you and your circles will also appear there.  Circles are groups that you put your contacts into for organizational purposes, like “friends”, “co-workers”, “family” and labels like that.  The “Hangout” feature is only available on the web-only, but the mobile app has the same thing with a feature called “Huddle”, which is just another name for group chat.  If you are a Google Plus member, check out the app and get the download to make access to your stream even easier.
