Google has decided to be the Santa for its users this Christmas vacation and are making efforts to improve the user experience on their social networking site, Google+. Google’s official blog recently released a statement that it would be releasing a number of new updates for their social network in a couple of days.

One of the very innovative features of this update lets users personalise their page even more than what was possible earlier. With the number of contacts on social networks increasing daily, Google has anticipated the likelihood of many users missing important notifications in a hodgepodge of lesser important ones. To help users organize their page and to clear clutter, Google+ has added a slider at the top of the page that lets the user regulate their posts from a particular circle and decide how they appear in the overall stream.

The red bar on the top of Google+ page currently informs the user about the number of notifications but sometimes a user may want to click on just one particular notification rather than scooping through all of them.  For the enhanced ease, Google has now added a ‘’sneak preview’’ option that quickly updates you about new events. Another update is a number of bug fixes in Google+ Pages which were taken care of after complaints by unhappy users.

One of the major improvements in Google+ Pages is that a user will be able to delegate a maximum of 50 managers to administer a particular Page. A new feature called ‘notification flow’ will inform the appointed manager about all the on going activity on the Page, thus making sure that they remain up to date with all the events and activities in the Page. Also, Google+ will now directly show the number of people following a Page and also those who +1 it. This will make sure that a manager knows about everyone who is associated with the Page.

The last present in Santa Google’s bag is a new feature for Google+ Photos. In this update, when the user clicks on a photo, it will appear in the Lightbox viewer with enhanced navigation and access. This too is aimed at ensuring a more user friendly way of sharing and viewing photos. Moreover, a user can now tag individual people through an enhanced and simplified tagging process.

Google has promised to implement all these changes before the holidays start in two days. The company has also promised more updates for the coming year as its resolution for 2012.
