bbz102The BlackBerry Z10 smartphone offers 4G LTE support, and is touted by the smartphone manufacturer as “the fastest, most advanced BlackBerry smartphone yet.” A quick check of the hardware and software package, as well as the large, high resolution display, is all one needs to see that this is definitely the case. Arriving in March of this year in the United States, the handset retails for around $49 on contract at select Internet outlets. The Z10 debuts a brand-new BlackBerry 10 operating system, as well as an entirely new form factor.

The BlackBerry Z10 – 4G LTE is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $0.01.

Gone is the physical QWERTY keyboard which we all identified with BlackBerries, and in its place is a large multitouch, capacitive touchscreen. In place of a physical keyboard is a virtual BlackBerry Keyboard which actually learns how you type the more you use it. It will even offer suggestions and improve your efficiency when you text or compose an e-mail. And the BlackBerry 10 OS is more than just an alternative to Android and the Apple iOS mobile operating systems.

The mobile operating platform is similar to those used in avionics and automotive computers. The BlackBerry 10 QNX-based OS was formulated with demanding use and reliability in mind. It also offers a completely different user interface that will appeal to certain smartphone shoppers, and even the pickiest IT managers and business professionals will be happy with the security and data encryption the phone offers. None other than the United States Department of Defense (DOD) has given the handset its nod of approval for its employees.

And although that operating system is relatively still in its infancy stages, more than 120,000 applications are available for BlackBerry Z10 smartphone owners. Demanding business professionals who also enjoy using their smartphones for personal use will benefit from the BlackBerry Balance security feature which actually exists as two independent virtual entities on the Z10. Your personal communications are divided from your work, and no information can move from one to the other. And the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) 10 which has become so popular with businesses around the world supports BlackBerry Balance.

IT departments can also expect secure connections through the firewall, because of the high-level data encryption BlackBerry tenant uses in BES. There is even an add-on encryption card which supports classified information. And the onboard data encryption even includes the BlackBerry Messenger text messaging service. The BlackBerry Z10 boasts a large 4.2 inch display and resolution of 768 by 1,280 pixels. The phone also offers a dual core 1.5 GHz CPU, 2.0 GB of RAM, 16 GB of built-in storage and a microSD slot.

The BlackBerry Z10 – 4G LTE can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $0.01.
