Award-Winning Nokia Lumia 900 Windows Phone Now $49

Available on the AT&T 4G HSPA+ wireless network, the Nokia Lumia 900 Windows Phone 7.5 Mango smartphone has received critical praise as well as consumer popularity as an Android operating system alternative. At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Nokia Lumia 900 4G Windows phone received the coveted Best of CES first place award for smartphones delivered annually by online tech watchdog CNET. The handset delivers the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system for the first time to an LTE capable 4G handset, and Nokia built their Lumia 900 with the largest display that consumer electronics company has ever designed for a mobile handset.

At 4.30 inches and delivering a pixel density of 217 pixels per inch, the WVGA AMOLED multitouch display represents visuals in more than 16 million colors, and delivers an overall screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixel. Standard light and proximity sensors adjusts automatically for the best display and help conserve battery life, and that display is protected by a scratch resistant layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. Talk time from a single charge of the 1,830 mA battery on board runs 7.0 hours, and standby time is 14.6 days.

A Carl Zeiss optics package accompanies the camcorder on board the back of the Lumia 900 handset, which offers a dual LED flash, continuous autofocus while video recording, autofocus, touch to focus, video stabilizing, geo-tagging and exposure control features. A special double wide mode allows for capturing extra-wide scenes, and the f2.2/28mm lens helps provide video capture at 720P HD resolution. A front facing 1.3 megapixel chat cam also allows for portrait snapshots and video calls.

A 1.4 GHz Scorpion central processor  on board the Nokia Lumia 900 joins an Adreno 205 graphics chip in the Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon microchip package on board the Nokia Lumia 900, and 512 MB of RAM memory joins 16 GB of built-in, user accessible storage in rounding out the hardware profile. In the multimedia package on board, a proprietary YouTube video player joins a built-in music player and Stereo FM radio with RDS.

Popular online destinations Flickr, Twitter and Picasa have been pre-installed into the handset, and the Nokia Lumia 900 recently received a substantial price drop to $49 at select retailers with a standard new two-year activation.
