When talking about LTE coverage in US shores, Verizon is still considered as the league leader among wireless providers in our side of the world because of the breadth and width of its LTE network. AT&T on the other hand is at the second spot but still has a lot of ground to cover if it wants to be competitive with what Big Red has managed to achieve so far. Ma Bell however is not sitting on its hands and has recently taken a rather aggressive expansionist policy when it came to the rollout and expansion of its LTE network.

In fact, AT&T has recently announced that it is further expanding the coverage of its 4G LTE network and confirmed that its LTE coverage is now live on several markets in California, Alabama and several states in the Northeast. In addition to that, the carrier also confirmed that it is expanding its LTE coverage in a couple of locations in the process. Below are the list of new markets and expansions that AT&T included in the announcement.
New markets:
- Greenville, AL
- Troy, AL
- Madera-Chowchilla, CA
- Merced, CA
- Vallejo-Vacaville, CA
- New London County, CT
- Sussex County, DE
- Columbia, MO
New expansions:
- Hartford, CT expansion (Litchfield)
- Pocatello, ID expansion (Malad City)
- Manchester-Nashua, NH expansion (Rockingham)
- Springfield, MA expansion (Becket, Blandford, Granville, Otis, Russell and Westfield)
- Tacoma, WA expansion (Gig Harbor)
This simply means that AT&T subscribers in the locations mentioned above can now start enjoying ultra-fast mobile internet speeds with any LTE-capable device such as the Samsung Galaxy Note II. Furthermore, these subscribers now have a wider LTE playground to play in and at the rate AT&T is going right now in its expansion, it won’t take long for the LTE coverage of the carrier to make it to your neck of the woods.
Going back to the Samsung Galaxy Note II, the second generation Samsung phablet is still one of the more capable devices in the market today despite its aging status. It is the second generation Samsung phablet and as such comes with a massive screen real estate coupled with very impressive components in its internals.
Unveiled back in August of 2012 and made available in the shelves a couple of months later, the Samsung Galaxy Note II currently runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for its operating system. It has its circuitry built around an Exynos 4412 Quad chipset which in turn brings into play a quad-core 1.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor and a whopping 2GB of RAM. These two components work together in keeping the performance of the phablets at peak levels. The Samsung Galaxy Note II can be had in a 16GB and a 32GB version in terms of storage but if this falls short of your expectations, the handset supports memory expansion via its microSD card slot. Its main selling point is its 5.5-inch SuperAMOLED HD panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its camera department features a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.9MP snapper.
