gs3miniThe market has been buzzing over new phones and tablets so much over the last few months that some might have forgotten about smartphones that were announced a while ago and are only starting to appear now. AT&T has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini will be joining the other handsets in the lineup. While AT&T has released the smartphone for around a dollar, select online retailers are offering it for just a penny. Saving 99 cents probably won’t influence many customers one way or the other, but we still wanted to let you know.

You can buy the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini for a reduced sale price starting at just one penny!

The price for the Galaxy S3 Mini from Samsung is going to be just $0.99 and that price includes a new, two-year contract with AT&T’s ever expanding 4G LTE network.  In case you do not recall, the Galaxy S3 showed up on the market back in October of 2012 and it was very well received as most of the devices from Samsung are.  The Galaxy S3 Mini is really just like it sounds, the same exact phone, only a little smaller.  For those of you that want the features and specs of the Galaxy S3, but want a display that is a little smaller, the Galaxy S3 Mini is the perfect option.

For right now, the Galaxy S III Mini phone is only going to be available on the AT&T network.  The smaller version of the popular selling device from last year comes with a 4-inch Super AMOLED touch screen display and a 480×800 resolution.  The battery will get you around 12 hours of talk time, while the power plant is a STE U8420, dual-core processor with Mali-400MP graphics processor and 1GB of RAM to keep things moving.  The back side of the device sports a 5MP camera which should be fine for taking a quick picture that you can share with your friends.

According to the AT&T press release, the Galaxy S3 Mini will be running the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software and the famous TouchWiz user interface built right over the top of it.  The phone does support the large, 4G LTE network that AT&T provides, in fact, today it was also announced that the company was going to be adding connections in Willimantic, Conn., Fargo, ND and Amarillo, Texas.  AT&T’s expansion of the 4G LTE network should be coming to an end soon as Verizon Wireless announced this summer that its rollout was finally completed.

You can purchase the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini at a discounted price tag starting at just one penny.
