And coincidentally enough, all three of the companies behind those phones are about to launch variants of those flagship devices. The iPhone 5S will probably launch within the next three months, Samsung is delivering multiple Galaxy S4 models with specialized features, and the arrival of the HTC One Mini smartphone is right around the corner.

The HTC One 4G is available for a reduced sale price now starting at .

To ensure that the HTC One 4G Android handset continues to improve on the impressive 5 million global units sold since launching in late April of this year, Amazon has dropped the retail price of that handset substantially. With the industry standard two-year contract on AT&T, smartphone shoppers can purchase the powerful HTC One smartphone for just $79 at the Amazon Wireless store online. The phone comes equipped with dual front facing speakers and Beats Audio sound amplification.

Delivering a substantial power increase over the popular Snapdragon S4 Pro processor found in many of today’s smartphones, the HTC One prefers running on the Snapdragon 600 quad core chip that has been clocked at 1.7 GHz, and provides up to 40% more multitasking power than its sibling. Delivering a much simpler and less intrusive Sense 5.0 user interface, the AT&T HTC One 4G measures a scant 0.37 inches (9.3 mm) in thickness.

Despite being slim, the phone is ensconced in a durable premium metal unibody, and delivers the highest pixel density of any smartphone ever created. A full 468 color pixels are spread across each inch of the 4.7 inch Super LCD3 display for an overall Full HD resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. A layer of second generation Gorilla Glass provides scratch resistance, and the sealed 2,300 mA juicer on the HTC One provides up to 16.0 hours of single charge talk time, as well as 8.5 hours of web surfing.

The above-mentioned CPU is part of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T system chip that joins a powerful Adreno 320 graphics processor, 2.0 GB of RAM memory and a generous 32 GB of built-in storage in the handset’s hardware package. The rear facing 2.0 UltraPixel camcorder of the HTC One provides simultaneous HD video and image capture, absorbs up to 300% more light than the typical smartphone camera, and records video in 1,080P HD resolution and stereo sound, at the rate of 30 frames per second.
