lumia920bWhen it comes to LTE coverage in our side of the world, Verizon is still the league-leader among wireless providers in US shores with the breadth and width of its network. In fact, it was reported recently that Big Red is close to hitting its 500 market milestone which only goes to show the rapid expansion of its LTE network. AT&T on the other hand is still at second place but the wireless provider still has a lot of ground to cover in terms of expansion if it hopes to be competitive with what Big Red has managed to do so far. This doesn’t mean though that AT&T is not doing its best when it comes to the expansion of its 4G LTE network.

The Nokia Lumia 920 4G is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $39.99.

In fact, the rollout and expansion of AT&T’s 4G LTE network is a work in progress and the carrier today confirmed that it is lighting up its coverage in ten new markets and these include:

  • Linglestown, Penn.
  • Shelton, Conn.
  • Ocean City, Md.
  • Salem, Or.
  • Port Townsend, Wash.
  • North Whidbey Island Camano Island, Wash.
  • Longview, Wash.
  • Casa Grande, NC
  • Ariz, NC
  • Goldsboro, NC

In addition to these new markets getting their first taste of AT&T 4G LTE, the carrier also confirmed that it is expanding its coverage in the Capitol Region with expanded coverage in the areas listed below:

  • Ballston Spa
  • Clifton Park
  • East Glenville
  • Malta
  • Mechanicville
  • Milton Center
  • Niskayuna
  • Rotterdam
  • Round Lake
  • Saratoga County Airport
  • Schenectady
  • Schenectady County Airport

With this expansion, this simply means that subscribers of AT&T with an LTE-powered handset such as the Nokia Lumia 920 can now use their handsets in more and more areas to take advantage of the carrier’s ever expanding LTE coverage and reap the benefits of this network such as ultrafast mobile internet speeds.

As for the Nokia Lumia 920, the handset is the current flagship device of the Finnish handset maker for the Windows Phone ecosystem. It was unveiled back in September but the Nokia Lumia 920 only managed to make its debut in the shelves in November. It has dimensions of 130.3 x 70.8 x 10.7 mm and is rather hefty at its weight of 185 grams.

Under the hood, the Nokia Lumia 920 runs Windows Phone 8 for its operating system and this is powered by the handset’s QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset. The handset on the other hand relies on its dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and full gigabyte of RAM to work together in ensuring that the performance of the Nokia Lumia 920 is always at peak levels. The Nokia Lumia 920 comes with a very generous 32GB of onboard storage but sadly, the handset doesn’t come with support for memory expansion. As for its display, the handset sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a 1280 x 768 resolution while its dual-shooter configuration includes a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.3MP snapper.

The Nokia Lumia 920 4G can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $39.99.
