attAT&T still has room to grow its 4G LTE network apparently after an announcement from this week showed that the company was going to expand its 4G LTE reach in some places, while adding new coverage in at least 6 new markets.  Sprint has also been taking advantage of time and getting its smaller, 4G LTE network caught up to other networks like AT&T, Verizon Wireless and US Cellular.  The new markets for AT&T customers include Redding, Calif., Red Bluff, Calif., Gallipolis-Point Pleasant, Ohio, Marion, Ohio, Albany, Ore., Watertown-Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.

While the customers in those areas are going to be very excited, the expanded markets are also going to be quite excited that they will not be getting dropped from AT&T while they drive through the areas that live in.  The markets that AT&T decided to expand in this time include, Essex County, N.J., Morris County, N.J. and Passaic County, New Jersey.  Expanding the 4G LTE network from major metro areas into the rural landscape is essential for growing the presence of mobile networks and Verizon Wireless and AT&T are the leaders in that category, as Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular play catch up.

AT&T was not only announcing the new and expanded 4G LTE markets, the company also announced that it would be starting two promotions for subscribers on its network.  The first is that AT&T is giving away a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 to any customers that purchases a Galaxy S4, S4 Active, Galaxy Note 3, or Galaxy Note 2 and sign up for AT&T Next or a new two-year contract.  Customers will have to sign up for the Mobile Share plan and activate the Galaxy Tab 3.  The offer will come to an end on the 9th of January.

The second promotion that AT&T has announced includes handing out $100 AT&T Promotion Cards to any customer that wants to trade in a smartphone and purchase a new device with the AT&T Next program.  Once customers have the new promotion card, they can use it to pay for a new smartphone, cellular tablet, accessories or pay the monthly bill with it.  The only thing the promo card cannot be used for is a payment on the AT&T Next installment plan.  The offer will also run through the 9th of January.
