attAT&T has been battling with T-Mobile over the last couple of months hoping to bring more post-paid subscribers to its network in the first quarter of this year.  If you switch from your mobile carrier to AT&T, or T-Mobile, you are in for some nice credits on your account.  T-Mobile is reportedly offering you up to $350 for you to switch, while AT&T is offering you up to $450 if you switch and activate a new line with them.  Just when many thought that was the only thing AT&T had to offer, the company flipped a switch and has decided to offer a $100 credit to those that add an extra phone or data plan to their account.

This offer, which is only going to be available through the month of March, works for tablets, smartphones, feature phones and even mobile hotspots.  There is no contract needed to add the additional line or data plan either, but there is one catch that might keep you from looking at that $100 credit.  If you go ahead and add another line, or data plan to your account, you will be charged a $36 activation fee at that time.  That means that you will not be getting $100 for the promotion, in fact, you will only see about $64 of that on your end.

That might still be enough for users to switch, but for others they are going to want the full $100 that AT&T claims they are offering you.  The fee must be paid out of pocket as the promotion states that AT&T credit will appear on your monthly bill that comes after activation.  If you are seriously looking to switch mobile carriers and things like Straight Talk and Verizon Wireless pre-paid do not work for you, getting hooked up with AT&T is the next best thing.

The mobile industry is getting much more competitive as the major mobile carriers look to add subscribers each month to keep shareholders happy and that includes giving customers the best deals that they have seen in years.  T-Mobile shook the mobile world up by removing 2-year contracts with faster upgrades and since then companies like AT&T have followed suit to some degree just to be able to keep up with them.  Verizon Wireless and Sprint have been out of the battle since it started, but that is only going to last so long.

  1. The second promotional plan may attract some more customers, the real benefit comes if there are more than 5 members in a family then MSVP gives cheapest bill to all family members… http://www.telecomvibe.com
