The June sales for the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, the tablet with the dual personality, is ramping up to be a record. The Transformer is beating out other tablet sales, except those for the Apple iPad.

The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is a new concept in mobile. It melds the netbook and tablet worlds into one. This gadget has already had banner events in sales in the last few months and is set to do it again for this month. The CEO of ASUS says that 300,000 units of the Transformer tablet will be shipped this month. That is second in number only to the Apple iPad 2.

The sales will end up being ten percent of the total revenue for the company. Europe and China are yet to warm up to the Pad Transformer. These two valuable markets could push sales up even farther. Amazon and Ebay are driving sales for the United States market. The price is a very amiable $399 dollars.

The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is a mix of netbook and tablet. The tablet is a good looking model with the nomenclature of “coolest” tablet on the market. It is going to be released with Android 3.1 and Windows 8 operating systems. The former will bring support for gaming controls. Both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 will be able to be used once the android system arrives on the tablet.

As some have pointed out, combining the new game controller feature with the HDMI output makes the tablet a gaming center if it is hooked up to a large screen. The Windows 8 option will not be on sale until next year. Nevertheless, this is viewed as a more mature operating system and one that will allow document handling over the android option.

The upcoming Windows 8 version of the Eee Pad Transformer will be more expensive than those selling at the moment. Before the Windows 8 version arrives, July is expected to be another banner event for this tablet. The sales will be up to the 400,000 level. Since the tablet hybrid is manufactured in Taiwan, China is taking notice of its unique abilities. A recent photo in the China Times shows a public review of the tablet undertaken by Jonney Shih. He is shown separating the tablet section from the keyboard. Look for this tablet to continue its upward sales trend in the near future.
