sony-z2-tabletSony might not be one of the most popular companies in the mobile market for those that live in the United States, but over the last 3 years the company has produced some top of the line devices that deserve your attention.  The latest product to come from those over at Sony is the Xperia Z2 tablet.  It was officially released back at the end of February and now it looks like you will be able to put down some of your hard earned money for the pre-order.

Sony reported that it was now accepting pre-orders for the Wi-Fi only model of the Xperia Z2 tablet.  If you are interested, you should know that you will be paying $499 for the Wi-Fi only model that has 16GB of internal storage.  The 32GB model will cost you just $100 more, which is a pretty good deal for a 10.1-inch tablet.  According to sources, the Sony Xperia Z2 will start to ship on the 3rd of May and will be in Sony product stores on the 4th of May.  Not that Sony is planning to run out of the stock on hand, but it is always nice to get in the pre-order line if you are planning to buy one anyways.

The brand new tablet is going to fit right into the 10.1-inch category and it features a 1920×1080 high definition touch screen display, but the processor is where the attention is likely to go.  The Xperia Z2 comes with the Snapdragon 801 processor, which is a quad-core model and is clocked at a speedy 2.3Ghz.  The tablet will feature an 8MP camera on the back side, as well as a smaller 2.2MP webcam on the front side for video chatting and more.

Like mentioned before, the tablet will come in 16GB and 32GB storage capacities and will also come with a microSD card slot that you can use for memory expansion if you need it.  With all of the cloud services out there right now, it would be tough to take up 32GB of space.  The Xperia Z2 also features a whopping 3GB of RAM, a 6000mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat software right out of the box.  The battery should provide you with all day usage depending on what you are doing with the tablet.
