galaxynoteiidecThe Galaxy Note II is notable as the first Samsung mobile handset to deliver the updated Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out-of-the-box. That new Android OS upgrade delivers stunning graphical capabilities and an improved Google Now experience. A new contextual search and physical and virtual assistant are hallmarks of the new Google Now, and Jelly Bean 4.1 is smoother, faster and more efficient, also removing much of the clutter from the Android home screens. The handset was recently spotted at the Amazon Wireless store online at under $140 on contract on the Sprint 4G LTE network.

The Galaxy Note II for Sprint is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $99.99.

The handset hit the Sprint 4G LTE system on October 25 of this year, and that network delivers simultaneous voice and data access. Delivering a powerful quad core processor, multitasking is taken to a very high level. Available in either titanium gray or marble white, the Galaxy Note II on the Sprint 4G LTE network allows you to take down directions or messages in your own handwriting with the smart stylus S Pen, check your e-mail, send text messages or even surf the web while watching videos and movies.

The Sprint Galaxy Note II delivers the largest smartphone display, and wraps the Jelly Bean 4.1 OS with the Samsung TouchWiz UI Android overlay, accepting capacitive, multitouch gestures or the smart stylus S Pen for input and navigation. The Galaxy Note II smartphone/tablet is slim at 0.37 inches (9.3 mm), and the large 5.55 inch Super AMOLED display is aligned in a “true HD” 16 to 9 aspect ratio, with an above average pixel density of 265 pixels per inch.

More than 16 million separate colors can be found on the 720 x 1,280 pixel screen, and power conserving light and proximity sensors help the oversized 3,100 mA battery provide a full 15.0 hours of talk time from a single charge. That is nearly double the 4G smartphone average, and 12.0 days of standby battery power is also produced. The chip set on the Sprint Galaxy Note II is a powerful Samsung Exynos 4 (4412) package, built around a quad core ARM Cortex A9 CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz. 16 GB of storage are built-in, and a microSD slot provides storage expansion.

An ARM Mali 400 MP4 quad core graphics processor is also on board, as is a full 2.0 GB of RAM system memory. For capturing video memories, the rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder provides 1,080P HD resolution video recording, with the front facing 1.9 megapixel chat cam offering video call support. A Stereo FM radio with RDS display capabilities joins a YouTube video player in the handset’s multimedia package, and the Sprint Galaxy Note II offers the popular social networking applications Facebook, YouTube, Picasa and Twitter as preinstalls out-of-the-box.

You can purchase the Galaxy Note II for a discounted price tag now starting at $99.99.
