Despite only making its appearance in the shelves of T-Mobile last January, the Nokia Lumia 710 4G, Nokia’s return-device to US territories, has already made a name for itself and has garnered so much attention from our smartphone-crazed brethren in just a little over a month’s time. The success enjoyed by the handset has in fact propelled the handset to the third spot in the list of the Magenta carrier’s best selling devices, so much so that Nokia CEO Stephen Elop commented at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona that the Nokia Lumia 710 4G has exceeded their expectations and are really proud with the current market performance of the device.

The device comes in after the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II 4G and the T-Mobile HTC Amaze 4G which are on the first and second spots, respectively. The inclusion of the Nokia Lumia 710 4G at the third spot was really surprising considering the fact that it hasn’t been that long since the device has become available for mass consumption. This only goes to show what a hit the handset has become for the Magenta carrier in addition to getting to levels not reached by any Windows Phone handset in the US smartphone market.

And if you want to get more up close and personal with the handset, we have the specs sheet of the Nokia Lumia 710 4G from T-Mobile below for you to go through.

The Nokia Lumia 710 4G reached official status when it was announced last December of 2011 thereby confirming and putting an end to the rumors we heard that the handset was indeed headed for the Magenta carrier. Of course, the Nokia Lumia 710 4G packs the same slid build quality that we have come to expect from a device made by the Finnish smartphone manufacturer and its chassis has dimensions of 119 x 62.4 x 12.5 mm and it weighs in at 125.5 grams.

Despite the fact that the Nokia Lumia 710 4G is just a midrange device, the very impressive components lurking under its hood belie that categorization of the tablet. At the heart of its operations, we see the QualComm MSM8255 SnapDragon chipset that powers the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system of the device. The computing power needed by the handset on the other hand is supplied by the partnership of the Nokia Lumia 710 4G’s 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor and its 512 MB of RAM while its storage space is pegged at 8GB. As for its display, it is easy to get mistaken that the Nokia Lumia 710 4G packs a superMOLED type of display given its stunning quality but in reality, the 3.7-inch panel of the handset is actually of the TFT variant, it’s just that the display of the device with its 800 x 480 resolution is powered Nokia ClearBlack technology giving way to the bright and vivid colors we experience on the handset. Furthermore, the Nokia Lumia 710 4G comes with a 5MP autofocus shooter at its rear panel which also has a video mode that enables a user to capture 720p videos at 30 frames per second.

That being said, just by looking through the specs sheet of the device, it is very easy to surmise as to why the Nokia Lumia 710 4Geasily made it to the Top 3 spot of the best-selling handsets of T-Mobile despite its spring chicken status at the wireless provider.  Buy the Nokia Lumia 710 4G starting at $99.
