The stunning speed of their telecommunication devices is rivaled only by their magnificent updating schemes. The billion-dollar bureaucrats bustle brilliantly about their penthouses in absolute ecstacy over our anticipation anxiety. They chuckle as we tremble, they dine we wine. How sweet the sound of a fat cat's melodious mantra: "they will wait, they will hate...oh yes but my rich fingers hold their data-driven fate." They had a collective agreement that the Razr Maxx would blow away every last competitor and in a rare instant of conscience decided to withhold superiority. Where's yiur heart, young generation. Find it in youselves to appreciate mediocrity. Embrace the apparent laziness and uselessness of your stagnant generation. Personally, I was going to go with the Nexus, but have liked Moto in the past (had the original Droid and the X and loved them both), but Verizon was running a "buy one get one" sale on the RAZRs and my wife finally wanted to try a smartphone so we went that route since ICS was "coming soon"...it's 6 months later...that's not soon. H*ll, the RAZR is old news now, really, with the Galaxy S III coming out, and the RAZR HD, and even the RAZR MAXX. I'm not saying I wish I'd picked the Nexus instead of the RAZR, but I wish I'd have been given accurate and honest information, that's for sure. That's what irritates me the most...it's almost "bait and switch" at Verizon to get people into the RAZR, and then nothing happens. It was the same with my X. I'm honestly surprised no one has tried to bring some sort of b.s. legal action against them for it yet. It'd fail, and it'd be stupid from a legal standpoint, but it'd be a whole world of bad PR for Verizon and Motorola and Google/Android. One thing is certain...Google needs to fix their Android fragmentation problem, because it's only getting worse for them right now...and every time a carrier doesn't update a phone, or says they will and then delays, or takes forever to do it in general, it's creates more and more ill will toward Android. Rightly or not, it happens and it's something they'll need to address at some point. My thought...Google should require every manufacturer to release the phones with stock Android, then one update can get them all (or a majority of them depending on hardware issues) and if the manufacturer wants to have a custom UI, that's great, sell it as an app that ANY brand phone can then download and use. Don't delay updates just so you can force people to use your crappy UI...release the phone stock and make a *GREAT* UI that people will actually want and buy. Neither company has made much of an effort to notify people about the status of the project. Not saying they have to tell us every little detail but some kind of update IS their obligation to the consumer since we do pay them monthly...CUSTOMER is "always" right.
