When the Samsung Galaxy Note II was unveiled back in August 2012, we already knew that the handset is a very capable device and is a whole lot more powerful than its predecessor, the original Samsung Galaxy Note. In fact, when you take a more discerning look at the specs sheet of the second generation Samsung phablet, you’ll notice that some of its components are more powerful than those seen in the internals of the Samsung Galaxy S III, the current Samsung flagship device. Regardless, the two superphones make a good tandem and are actually the very potent one-two punch combination of the Korean electronics giant in its bid to take over the smartphone competition totally.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II for Sprint is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $49.99.

Similar to the Samsung Galaxy S III, the Samsung Galaxy Note II also reached a certain level of popularity – a popularity among the smartphone-buying population that made all the major wireless providers (and some minor ones as well) in our side of the world release their respective variants of the phablet in US shelves. One of the minor carriers that released the Samsung Galaxy Note II is US Cellular and though tis version is just as powerful as the variant released by say, AT&T, the US Cellular Samsung Galaxy Note II is at a bit of a disadvantage because it hasn’t gotten the update that will give it the Multi-Window feature. For those not in the know, this feature enables the Samsung Galaxy Note II to run two apps in its display simultaneously, hence the name Multi-Window.

However, if you happen to rock a Samsung Galaxy Note II from US Cellular, the long wait for that little update that will bring the Multi-Window feature to your phablet is finally over. As it stands, the wireless provider is already in the process of rolling out this update to its variant of the handset and owners of the US Cellular Samsung Galaxy Note II only need to wait for that notification that lets them know once the update is already available to be downloaded and installed. Alternatively, they also have the option of manually checking for the update by going to Settings > About phone > Updates and tap Check for updates to get the process rolling.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Note II, the handset still reigns in the phablet category of the smartphone competition because of its impressive specs sheet. Under the hood, the device relies on its Exynos 4412 chipset to power its operations with the help of a quad-core 1.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor and a whopping 2GB of RAM. The handset can be had in a 16GB or a 32GB model in terms of storage capacity and a dedicated microSD card slot in its chassis enables memory expansion of the handset. Its display remains its main selling point with its massive 5.5-inch SuperAMOLED HD panel with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels while its camera department is a virtual twin to that of the Samsung Galaxy S III with its rear 8MP shooter and front 1.9MP video call and self-portrait snapper.

You can purchase the Galaxy Note II for Sprint for a discounted price tag and save $160 now starting at $49.99.
