iphone5sNow that the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C have made it to the market, it is time for the mobile carriers to start jockeying for position and offering discounts with the hope that consumers will flock their way.  With that said, Sprint looks like it will be the first mobile carrier in the United States to be offering a discount and it is a good one at that.  Even though you are going to be signing a new, two-year contract, you can get the brand new iPhone 5s for just $99 with that contract.

The $100 incentive to buy the iPhone 5S is just the start of things, as the discount is actually available on all of the other smartphones that Sprint offers, including the iPhone 5C.  As one online source points out, buying the iPhone 5S is just the start of the overall cost of the device.  If you are on the Sprint network than you know that the coverage can be spotty and since the company has just started to get its 4G LTE network rolling through some bigger cities, it might not be available where you live.  On top of that, if it is available where you live, it might not be that consistent.

The unlimited data that Sprint offers might just be enough of an incentive to go with the new iPhone as it starts at only $80 per month and that includes unlimited data, texting and calling.  Sprint also has one more unlimited option for subscribers called the “All in” plan and that has the same unlimited data, texting and calling, plus 5GB of mobile hotspot service.  Sprint charges just $30 per month for each line after the first on family plans.  Sprint is going to gain some attention since it is the only carrier in the United States that is offering the iPhone 5S at a discounted price with unlimited data.

Sprint is also one of the major mobile carriers that is willing to offer you unlimited data for life.  While other mobile carriers that used to support the unlimited data have gone away with that option, T-Mobile and Sprint are the only ones left.  T-Mobile offers an unlimited data as well, but the company has decided not to offer phones at a discounted rate any longer, meaning you have to pay full retail price over a 24 month period.
