The Galaxy  S II line of handsets has been a very successful endeavor for consumer electronics and smartphone manufacturer Samsung. In the first five months when it launched in Asia and Europe, the original Galaxy  S II sold 10 million copies, setting a five-month launch period sales record for Samsung. Arriving on the Sprint 4G wireless network on September 16 of last year, the Epic Touch 4G was the first Galaxy S II model to hit the United States. That handset quickly became Sprint’s flagship smartphone, and has helped Samsung sell more than 35 million global units of all Galaxy  S II models.
