We have all been reading the many lawsuits between Apple and Samsung.  The lawsuits claim that Samsung is copying the iPad and iPhone with the Galaxy line of smartphones and tablets.  Because of the patent infringement, Apple has won in court and Samsung was banned from selling their products in several European Union countries recently.  According to some news form today, that has not stopped Samsung as they have made some changes to their product line in order to be able to sell the Galaxy line of products in those countries.

A spokesman for Samsung said that many of the electronic components that Apple is claiming were copied can be changed very easily and that just might get them passed the ban and put the Galaxy line back on the shelf.  This would be a good thing for Samsung, of course, as the Galaxy line is clearly the more popular product line the company sells.  The spokesman did not give any details about what would be modified at this time, but did say that Samsung will be trying the same tactics in other markets were Apple has tried to halt the sale of Samsung products.

The lawsuit between Apple and Samsung started about one month ago and is centered on products that Apple claims Samsung violated patents owned by Apple.  The lawsuit is seeking to ban the sale of Samsung products in certain markets.  Standards essential technology and patents are agreed upon internationally and held as a general standard within the mobile industry.  Samsung has sued Apple, as well as, Nokia within the last couple months, but there has not be any court order since the suits were filed against Apple.

There has been plenty of action between the two companies over these lawsuits, but right now Samsung is losing and if they can get passed the ban by changing a couple components that is going to be the best bet compared to fighting a long legal battle the company is sure to lose to Apple.  Other patent lawsuits came against Samsung as early as April of this year and Samsung has responded to each one with their own.  The two companies have similar lawsuits in other countries including Germany, Netherlands, the UK, Japan, Australia and Korea.

The people at Samsung have claimed to be ready to fight aggressively for their right to sell their products.
