As of the moment, the Samsung Galaxy S III remains as one the more capable devices currently available in the market today. Not only that, it is also one of the more popular, if not THE most popular handset that you can get your hands on. This popularity is due to the impressive resume and even more impressive capabilities that the handset brings to the table – a popularity that preceded the handset even before it hit the shelves.

The Samsung Galaxy S III is available at a reduced price tag at select online retailers now starting at 99.99.

Come to think of it, the Samsung Galaxy S III was released in the latter parts of May but has already managed to achieve sales figures of 30 million units. This alone is a testament to the popularity of the handset. Not only that, sales figures of the Samsung flagship device held steady despite the fact that Apple scored a huge victory over the Korean electronics giant in their recent high-profile patent trial. Not only that, the sales of the handset did not even take a hit even when the Cupertino-based company released its sixth-generation iPhone a couple of weeks ago.

In fact, recent studies by Strategy Analytics show that the Samsung Galaxy S III sold more units that Apple’s iPhone 4 during the third quarter of the current year. According to the research of the analysts of Strategy Analytics, Samsung sold a staggering 18 million units of its flagship device last quarter compared to the 16.2 million units of the iPhone 4S sold by Apple. However, the dip in sales of the iPhone 4S was attributed to the fact that prospective buyers temporarily held off while waiting for the launch of the iPhone 5. In comparison, the iPhone 4S was already a year old while the Samsung Galaxy S III is barely 6 months old.

However, taking a look at the iPhone 5, the sixth-generation iPhone, has only made its debut in the shelves at the end of September but has already hit the 6 million mark in sales. Analysts from Strategy Analytics however predicted that the Apple smartphone will outsell the Samsung flagship device in Q4.

Despite that bold prediction, nothing can change the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S III is still one of the most powerful handsets in the market today. Several versions of the handset have already gotten a taste of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update and its operating system is powered by the handset’s QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset. This SoC comes with a dual-core Krait processor clocked at 1.5 GHz while its RAM comes up to a staggering 2GB of system memory. The handset is available in 16GB or 32GB in terms of its internal storage but this is still expandable through the use of its microSD card slot. As for its display, the Samsung Galaxy S III sports a massive 4.8-inch SuperAMOLED HD panel fashioned from Gorilla Glass 2 and has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Its dual-shooter configuration on the other hand boasts of a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.9MP video call and self-portrait camera.

Buy the Samsung Galaxy S III at a reduced price tag now starting at 99.99.
