Purple variant of the Samsung Galaxy S III finally hit Sprint shelves

This version of the handset can now be had in the same low price as its other variants provided the you sign a new two year service agreement with the wireless provider in the process.

Despite its aging status, the Samsung Galaxy S III is still one powerful handset to boot. It has a QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset under the hood powering its operation while a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor works in conjunction with a whopping 2 GB of RAM in generating the required computing muscle of the handset. The Samsung Galaxy S III is available in a 32GB and a 64GB version in terms of storage capacity but this can still be expanded using the handset’s microSD card slot. Display-wise, the handset comes with a 4.8-inch SUperAMOLED HD panel with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels while its camera department is just as impressive with its rear 8MP shooter and front 1.9.MP video call and self-portrait snapper.
