nexus7lteJust this week it was reported that the brand new Nexus 7 LTE was sold out in the United States, according to the Google Play store, but taking a look at the store today, it looks like the device is back in stock.  Not only did the device show back up in the United States version of the Google Play store, it was also added to stores for those that live in Germany, Canada, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Italy and Australia.  Prices for the device will vary depending on the country, but in the United States you can pick one up for just $349.

For those of you in the United States you will have three options; one for the AT&T network with SIM card, one for the T-Mobile network with SIM card and one model that is unlocked and does not come with any SIM card, leaving you to decide where you want to activate the device.  Some of you might be asking yourself where the Verizon Wireless model of the Nexus 7 LTE is, but you will not be able to find one.

When the announcement arrived for the LTE model of the device, Verizon Wireless was added to the list, but Verizon Wireless is not going to be playing nice right now and has been refusing to activate the Nexus 7 LTE models with new microSIM cards.  Verizon Wireless did offer up an explanation saying that “This is not yet a device that is Verizon 4G LTE certified. As you know, when devices are certified, we’ll let folks know.”  According to that statement, it does not sound like Verizon Wireless is completely out of the deal, but users will have to wait a little longer before they are able to activate the device on the nation’s largest and fastest 4G LTE network.

For those of you that want to activate the device via Verizon Wireless, you will have to purchase the device that does not come with a SIM card and by using an already activated microSIM card on the network from another device, you can install that allowing the Nexus 7 to communicate with the Verizon Wireless LTE network.  The Nexus 7 LTE model will still connect to Wi-Fi networks, so there is now worries about blowing through your data plan while sitting at home.
