The Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD borrows the ultraslim motif of the Droid Razr 4G, adds the extreme battery performance delivered by the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX 4G, and throws in the high definition, high-resolution screen delivered by its sibling the Motorola Droid Razr HD. Taking the best of each of the previous best-selling and flagship devices for the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network in the US and adding the most out-of-the-box, built-in data storage of any handset at 32 GB, the Droid Razr MAXX HD is attractive to Android smartphone shoppers on many levels.

The just released Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD is available at select online retailers for a reduced introductory price now starting at 199.99.

The handset also returns the durable design features of previous Droid Razr models, including the protective Gorilla Glass display, splashproof nanocoating which even protects electrical components inside the handset, and rugged Kevlar and aluminum body. As tough as the phone is, it is also secure, providing a remote wipe features that allows you to erase your phone’s contents if it is lost or stolen. The handset also delivers a security pin lock and government grade encryption for e-mail, contacts and other applications. Verizon swung an exclusive NFL Mobile application for sports lovers that can only be found on the Droid Razr MAXX HD.

Offered in your choice of either black or white and delivering Near Field Communications (NFC) wireless support out-of-the-box, the handset measures 5.19 x 2.67 x 0.37 inches (131.9 x 67.9 x 9.3 mm) and weighs 5.54 ounces (157 g). The large 4.70 inch display delivers an extremely high-end pixel density of 312 pixels per inch, resulting in an overall screen resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixel. That Super AMOLED screen supports capacitive, multitouch gestures, and contains built-in light and proximity sensors for auto brightness adjustment and battery conservation. More than 16 million colors are present in the visual displays on the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD 4G, and both DLNA and microHDMI video out options are delivered.

The oversized, extended life 3,300 mA battery delivers a whopping 21.0 hours of talk time, 13.0 hours of video playback and 27.0 hours of streaming music over the Verizon LTE network from a single battery charge. Standby time runs approximately 15.5 days, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 microchip suite is built around a dual core 1.5 GHz Krait central processor. The Adreno 225 GPU on board handles all graphics processing, and the handset comes packing 1.0 GB of LP DDR2 RAM memory.

The on board 8.0 megapixel camcorder provides touch to focus, Geo tagging, autofocus, face detection, image stabilization and LED flash features, recording video in 1,080P HD resolution. The Droid Razr MAXX HD handset also delivers a built-in music player and YouTube video player, adding a front facing chat cam which provides video call functionality. The popular Picasa application has also been pre-installed.
