Lower Price Tag Given to The LG Optimus G for AT&T

lgoptimusgThe LG Optimus G is a 4G smartphone running on the AT&T network. That handset recently received a retail price reduction, and is currently priced at $49 on contract at the Amazon Wireless store online. The LG Optimus G for AT&T launched on the AT&T 4G LTE network in the US on November 2 of last year. The phone delivers an exceptionally high pixel density, one of the highest megapixel counts for any camera on a smartphone, a powerful quad core processor and large high-resolution screen.

The LG Optimus G is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $49.99.

The LG Optimus G for AT&T comes equipped with an onboard music player with Dolby mobile sound enhancement, and a YouTube video player has been pre-installed for immediate use out-of-the-box. The phone also delivers the Chrome for Android mobile web browser, which replaces the formerly default Android browser in the Jelly Bean update. That operating system upgrade also releases improvements to Google Now, and adds more voice search capabilities as well as improved camera functionality.

The LG Optimus G comes equipped with a special Power Saver optional setting, which actually changes particular settings on the handset once your battery life falls under 30%. You decide which settings you want to employ this feature on, and it joins the power saving Eco Mode in conserving energy. Those features combine with light and proximity sensors to deliver as much as 13.0 hours of talk time from a single battery charge. AT&T’s Optimus G also lets you edit video and combine photos with it’s Video Wiz feature.

A smart stylus integrated QuickMemo application allows you to use the capacitive touchscreen display on the LG Optimus G as a notepad, enabling you to draw or take notes. The phone is slim, measuring just 0.33 inches (8.45 mm), but offers a large 4.70 inch True HD IPS+ Touch Hybrid Display. Screen resolution runs 768 by 1,280 pixels (WXGA quality), and pixel density is 318 pixels per inch. The CPU on board is a quad core 1.5 GHz chip, 2.0 GB of RAM memory has been pre-installed, as has 32 GB of built-in data storage.

AT&T’s LG Optimus G 4G Android smartphone also offers a rear camera with a 13.0 megapixel sensor. That rear snapper comes equipped with voice activation and a built-in LED flash, and records video in 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (1,080p HD resolution). The handset also delivers a front facing chat cam of 1.3 megapixels, and that front camera also provides video call support.

  3. 13MP camera? Jellybean? Is this AT&T’s way of false advertising?Maybe they should just release Jellybean for the LGOG. At least then that would be right.
