htconeredminiEarlier this year, the HTC One Mini was rumored to be coming at some point and according to a leaked image that showed up on Twitter this week, it looks like it could be available in at least one color that is not all that typical in the mobile world.  An image hit Twitter and started getting passed around very quickly and it showed the rumored HTC One Mini in the color red.  The image was leaked via a popular Twitter account that is known for releasing information proven to be more correct than not.

Other than being released in the color red, other information that was leaked included the name of the device.  According to the tweet, the new HTC One Mini is going to be released as the HTC M8 Ace when it hits the market.  The image shows a phone that has a similar design as the HTC One (M8) and that includes the rounded corners and the HTC logo beneath the display.  The leaked image has the display blurred out so you cannot see the icons or anything else, but you can tell that it is the same green Sense 6 screenshot that you might have seen on HTC One (M8) press photos.

Other than the image that has been leaked, there is no other information available for the HTC M8 Ace at this point.  Just like all of the other “mini” versions of popular smartphones released since the Galaxy S3, it will have some watered down specs, but most of all will be smaller than the main device that it is a copy of.  The brand new HTC One is a popular smartphone replacing the very popular model that showed up on the market early last year.

As long as the HTC M8 Ace comes with a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8MP camera and 4.7-nich display it will be worth checking out.  Any deviation from those specs for this device would knock it right down into the mid-range device category and from that point it will lose interest from those looking to upgrade in the mobile marketplace this year.  Some of the mini versions of smartphones have been quite worth it if you do not want a 5-inch display, but want the power, while at the same time others have been quite a downgrade.
