galaxynote3It was back in October when the Galaxy Note 3 hit the United States and it landed on all of the major mobile carriers at that time.  Considered one of the best Android smartphones on the market, the Galaxy Note 3 was praised in positive reviews posted all over the place.  There have been some issues with the device, specifically one that has been around since October, but according to one online source, that could be fixed with the Android 4.4 KitKat update coming very soon.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $229.99 – $789.00.

The update is coming to the AT&T model of the Galaxy Note 3 soon and it is said that it will be coming with a few fixes for bugs and other problems that have been reported about since the phone launched.  The problem comes into play when users try the GPS feature, something that has been used quite a lot on just about every smartphone on the market.  Users complained that the device takes a very long time to find the location and when it does, it will not hold the GPS signal.  According to reports, users have been talking about variations of the issue, but for the most part it is centered on the GPS hardware.

The issues has been pointed out more the enough times and AT&T has been aware of it for some time.  A recent tweet from AT&T suggests that the company is planning to investigate the issue and hopefully get a fix out to the device with the Android 4.4 KitKat update.  As long as AT&T has acknowledged the issue, many will be happy with that, but it appears the company is going a step further and actually developing a fix for it at the same time.

Samsung’s website does list that the Galaxy Note 3 is ready for the Android 4.4 KitKat update, so it is only a matter of time before it gets sent out.  AT&T did not go into details as to what users can expect other than the Android 4.4 KitKat software, but many are assuming they will see a fix for the GPS issue.  A lot of times, companies sent out the enhancements and fixes with regular updates and the issue gets fixed, but another might pop up in its place.  Consumers are going to have to wait and see how it goes with this one.
