Apple made a plethora of announcements along with the release of its much anticipated product, the iPad 3. Apple introduced the iPhoto for its new iPad and also announced an update for Garage band. Further, Apple also introduced two new applications called iMovie and iWork for the iPad. Apple is calling iPhoto a reinvention of its iconic photo software, which will be available for $4.99 starting today. iPhoto for the iPad offers an array of features like multi-touch editing, bezel gestures and direct beaming. One can also alter the white balance, change the exposure and saturation levels and add geotags and captions. Another nifty feature is the Journal, which allows the user to select images from iCloud for web viewing.
Apple concluded the release updated versions of iMovie, iWork and Garage band for the new iPad. The new iWork application combined with the Retina display will add a whole new dimension to presentations and will be available for $4.99. The new iMovie app will also be available for $4.99. The new app will offer the ability to turn HD movies into trailers and a few effects with the aid of editing tools. The new version of Garage band will introduce a feature called Jam Session. The new feature allows up to three friends to connect iOS devices wirelessly and play in real time. Apple also revealed a few next generation apps for the new iPad. These include updates for SketchBook, SkyGamblers and Infinity Blade: Dungeons.
In addition to the new iPad and a few other apps, Apple also revealed the Apple TV 2012. Priced at $99, the new Apple TV offers 1080p resolution. The new UI on the Apple TV is quite similar to iOS. The new colour scheme along with a whole array of third party apps is certainly expected to encourage people to purchase this device, though sales of the previous Apple TV were lacklustre compared to Appleās other offerings. The device also boasts of improved connectivity to iCloud and integration of iTunes directly into the refreshed UI. The new Apple TV has a lot more to offer in comparison to the 2010 version. The vastly improved output resolution, the single core A5 chip and support for many new video codecs that this upgrade brings is a definite step up for this platform.
